A Princess needs a Prince...

Well, Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I guess it makes everyone think about love. Additionally, we were talking about what everyone wants to be when they grow up. Ben suddenly declared that he wants to be an astronomer. Zack wants to be a marine biologist. I asked Courtney and she reminded me that she wants to be a princess when she grows up. A few hours after this conversation, we were sitting on the couch and Courtney mentioned that she loves Eric (Ben's best friend). She declared that she is going to marry him someday. He can be her prince. She can be his princess. The part that really got us was when she said she's going to kiss him on the lips.

By the way, she would like me to start calling her my little 5 year old. She's done with 4 since Ben is turning 9 on Saturday. Oh, the giggles never stop around here.

Yesterday, Courtney put on a show for us. She is so funny. Ben passed his guitar onto her so she and Zachary were playing together. Zack taught her La Cucaracha. Here is a video of her interpretation as well as an original song called Mr. Coconut. It is so cute!

More Basketball and Cheerleading

We're halfway through the basketball and cheerleading season. Soccer season will be here shortly. In fact, I think we go Saturday morning (Ben's birthday) to meet the coach. Saturday's games were interesting. Zachary exhibited awesome defense once again. The poor kid couldn't escape. Courtney started falling asleep on the bench during her game. It was a very long day. We had staggered games and pictures an hour before the game. Benjamin had some good plays in his game too.
