School is Out!!! I'm finished!!
I have completed everything for my master's degree. It is so weird. I don't think it has hit me yet. It feels so weird to be free..... Graduation here I come.
Father's Day 2010
The kids wore their VBS shirts, went up to the front of the sanctuary, and sang one of the songs with fellow VBS attendees. It was really cute. The boys were super excited because they were rewarded with cake. Nothing like a little cake to get the boys to do something. Courtney got a little key chain since she doesn't eat cake.
After church, we drove to Miami. Kevin grilled lunch for everyone and then Kevin, Andy, and Chad worked on installing a garage door opener at my grandmother's new house. The new house is a few houses down from Kevin. I took the kids to my parents' house to swim and Luci brought her kids over. The kids had a blast. After a couple of hours, we went back to pick up Andy. Andy was ready for a swim so we went back for another swim. The kids were definitely worn out that night.
Courtney's Dance Recital 2010
Courtney had her dance recital dress rehearsal on June 10th at RPBHS. I was so proud of her. She did great. It was a big change from last year. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the actual dance recital on June 12th. My little girl danced. She actually danced in a recital. It was awesome. Andy actually thought he was watching the wrong little girl until he realized that all of the little girls were dancing. They looked so cute. I cannot wait until we get our copy of the recital dvd. Until then, here are some pictures.

Anna Maria Island 2010
School ended on June 3rd and the next day, we headed to the beach. We lucked out and had an oil and rain free experience. It was hot and sunny! The kids had a blast. It's neat to see the kids change each year in how they deal with the waves and the sand. Zachary is our fearless body surfer who loves getting knocked around by the waves. Ben enjoys the water, but isn't as fearless as Zachary. Courtney is starting to enjoy the beach a little more. She sat on her turtle in the shallow water where she didn't have to worry about getting knocked around by waves. The girl definitely feels more comfortable in the pool. Luckily, there was a pool there too so everyone was happy. Andy's parents joined us that weekend so Andy and I snuck out to dinner by ourselves one night. The kids were more excited about ordering in pizza with the grandparents than hitting one of our favorite beach restaurants.
Star Wars Days at Hollywood Studios
We took the kids to Disney's Hollywood Studios over Memorial Day weekend. They had a blast. We've been there many times, but have never taken the kids during Star Wars weekends. They were mesmerized before we could even get through the gate as there were 2 storm troopers walking above the turnstiles to get in. There were a lot of Star Wars characters and we got pictures with a few.
Courtney's last day of school - splash day
Courtney's last day of school went out with a splash. After being presented with a gorgeous scrapbook of Courtney's preschool experience, Courtney hit the sprinklers. She had a great time running through the sprinklers they set up on the lawn. We forget how much fun kids having running through sprinklers when it's easier to take them to the pool. She had a blast. It was a great way to end things on a positive note.
